A picture going viral on social media is being claimed to show PM NarendraModi. Along with this image, it is alleged that during an election campaign in Assam, sets were created for a shoot featuring PM Modi with women in a tea garden, where an entire production team including a director was present with multiple cameras, microphones, and lights.

Sharing this image, a user wrote a caption in Tamil, the Hindi translation of which reads: “Modiji, who went to Assam for the election campaign—that shooting style of his there! The whole world is shocked and praising him!”

Meanwhile, this picture has also been shared by several others, including TMC MP Kirti Azad and Congress leader Abhishek Dutt, which can be seen here.

Fact Check:

The DFRAC team’s investigation found that the viral image is not an authentic photo of PM Modi. Instead, it has been created using Artificial Intelligence (AI). During the investigation, several inconsistencies were identified in the image—such as the absence of natural shadows for the people shown—which is a common indicator of AI-generated visuals. For further verification, the team analyzed the image using AI detection tools like Hive Moderation, ZeroGPT, WasItAI, and undetectable.ai. The results from these tools indicated that the image is AI-generated.

To gain deeper insights, the team also consulted AI expert Mayank Sharma. He noted that the lighting and shadows in the image are inconsistent, whereas real photographs typically exhibit uniform lighting. Additionally, some facial features and hand structures appear slightly unnatural. The arrangement of camera equipment and cables also lacks logical consistency, further suggesting that the image is AI-generated.

Conclusion:

DFRAC’s fact-check confirms that the image of PM Narendra Modi circulating on social media is AI-generated and not a real photograph from Assam. Therefore, the claim made by users is false.
