A video is being shared on social media showing numerous iPhones scattered across the road after a truck accident. Delhi Police barricades and police personnel can be seen in the video. It is being claimed that the video shows a collision between two trucks loaded with iPhones in Delhi. In the viral clip, a police officer is heard saying, “I have seen such an accident for the first time in Delhi.”

While sharing the video, one user wrote: “Two trucks collided with each other and overturned; both trucks were filled with iPhones… now whoever wants an iPhone should reach Delhi and loot iPhone 17.”

On Instagram as well, a user posted this video on December 24, 2025, claiming that it is from Delhi.

Fact Check:

The DFRAC team investigated the viral video and found that it is AI-generated. On closely examining the video, our team noticed that the number plates of the cars and autos shown are not clearly visible. Additionally, on the barricades behind a Delhi Police constable, the spelling of Delhi Police suddenly changes, with the letter “D” turning into “I.”

For further verification, our team analyzed the video using the AI detection tool Hive Moderation. The results indicated a 98.2% probability that the video is AI-generated.

To gather more information, the DFRAC team contacted the Delhi Police Control Room, which confirmed that no such accident had come to their notice. Furthermore, we reviewed the Instagram account shivaji_vlogs_, which had shared the video. We found multiple similar videos on the account showing iPhones scattered after road accidents, each claimed to be from a different location.

Conclusion:

DFRAC’s fact check clearly shows that the video shared on social media, claiming to show iPhones scattered on the road after a truck accident, is AI-generated. No such incident occurred in Delhi. Therefore, the users’ claims are misleading.
