A claim went viral on social media stating that a famous Bhojpuri actor, Khesari Lal Yadav, who is contesting the Bihar election on an RJD ticket, had his bungalow demolished by the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation. A video accompanying this claim showed the demolition of his house.

Apart from this, the video has also been shared by many other users, which can be seen here and here.

Fact-Check

The DFARC team has determined that both the claim and the video regarding Khesari Yadav are false and AI-generated, respectively. So far, there have been no credible reports from media agencies confirming that Khesari Yadav’s house has been demolished. However, we did come across a report from NDTV India stating that a notice was issued for the illegal construction of his bungalow on Mira Road. This report, dated November 6, 2025, indicated that the demolition was scheduled to occur within two days if the illegal construction is not removed. As of now, no demolition has been reported regarding this illegal construction.

The original image of the notice was also published by the NDTV:

To verify the authenticity of the video, we used the InVid Verify tool for video analysis. The tool extracted a screenshot from the video, which we then analysed further. An AI-detecting tool, wasitAI, confirmed that it was AI-generated.

Conclusion

Hence, the claim supported by the video is false. A notice was issued for the demolition of the illegal construction, but it has not yet occurred. Hence, the claim supported by the video is false. A notice was issued for the demolition of the illegal construction, but it has not yet occurred.
