In this video, Abhisar Sharma can be heard reading news that the Chief Justice of India, B R Gavai, has given a historic judgment to ban EVMs in the Bihar elections and that voting in Bihar will now take place through ballot papers. The video also claims that Tejashwi Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, and several opposition leaders have welcomed this decision.

Fact-Check

The DFRAC team searched on Google using several keywords related to the claim that the Supreme Court has banned EVMs in the Bihar elections. We did not find any such news published by any mainstream media outlet. If such a decision had been announced, it would have been one of the top headlines in the media. On the contrary, we found several media reports confirming that voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections is being conducted using EVMs.

For further verification, our team contacted senior journalist Abhisar Sharma. He confirmed that the video was created using artificial intelligence. He also wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “AI-generated videos have become very dangerous. Thanks to @YouTube India for taking quick action on such fake news. However, fake news is still spreading strongly on @Facebook. Despite complaints, such channels are still active.”

Conclusion

The DFRAC fact check clearly shows that the viral video of senior journalist Abhisar Sharma circulating on social media was created using artificial intelligence. Abhisar Sharma has not published any such news. The claim that the Supreme Court has banned EVMs in the Bihar elections and ordered voting through ballot papers is completely fake.
