In this era of social media and digital platforms, lies, rumors, and half-truths are the ammunition used to weaken a country. This is information warfare, where lies obscure truth, and those lies are repeated until they become accepted as truth. DFRAC’s investigation has revealed that certain networks and accounts are engaged in a systematic campaign to defame India. This is not just a case of ordinary “fake news,” but a well-planned digital propaganda machine.
DFRAC has exposed this pattern with facts, showing how social media is being weaponized to target India’s credibility. An army of fake accounts, bots, and trolls remains active day and night to spread rumors, deepen mistrust in society, and tarnish India’s image internationally. The 9 accounts investigated by DFRAC include: 1- Deep State Press, 2- Neon White Cat, 3- Quoin, 4- India Invasion, 5- Rishi, 6- Lara, 7- Intellectual Caveman, 8- Auspill, and 9- Codex India. These are not just different voices, but collectively they are running a digital machinery that targets India’s credibility and social harmony.
The strategy of these accounts is clear: giving political shape to any sensitive incident; converting tragedies into political narratives for polarization; and damaging the country’s image by spreading confusion in the international community. DFRAC’s team has deeply analyzed these activities and gathered evidence showing how attempts are being made to portray India as an unstable nation on social media. The main points of this report are as follows:
Key Findings
- Exposure of Digital Networks
- Separatism and Fake Narratives
- Bangladesh Connection to Anti-India Activities!
- Different Accounts, But Same Script!
- 9 Faces, One Agenda — Defaming India!
1. Exposure of Digital Networks
DFRAC’s team has identified 9 users and their nexus engaged in anti-India propaganda on social media. These 9 users include: 1- Deep State Press, 2- Neon White Cat, 3- Quoin, 4- India Invasion, 5- Rishi, 6- Lara, 7- Intellectual Caveman, 8- Auspill, and 9- Codex India. Among these, several users run separatist agendas concerning India, while others engage in propaganda to defame India. Some users target Indians living abroad, calling them infiltrators and trespassers.

2. Separatism and Fake Narratives
The study of this network shows that the anti-India agenda is not limited to a few individuals, but there are organized cross-border strategies behind it. This is a network of organized anti-India propaganda and a separatist agenda against India, carrying out online activities.
i- Deep State Press: A Fake Media Institution
There is an account on X called Deep State Press. This account was created in August 2025. It currently has 80 followers. Its followers include users named Quoin and Codex India. The account’s bio section includes a website link where news promoting the Khalistani separatist agenda is published. This clearly indicates that this is a fake media institution created to run the Khalistani separatist agenda.
In our investigation of this website, we found that its founder and operator is listed as Ravinder Singh Johal. Upon gathering information about Ravinder Singh Johal, we found that due to his Khalistani separatist agenda, his X (formerly Twitter) handle has been withheld in India. Meanwhile, gathering information about Deep State Press on Whois.com revealed that an American number is registered to it.

Ravinder Singh Johal’s Connection to Khalistani Separatists
According to publicly available information about Ravinder Singh Johal, he lives in New Zealand and actively participates in Khalistani separatist demonstrations. Our investigation revealed that he has participated in several demonstrations with Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a Khalistani terrorist designated by India. Additionally, he not only organizes demonstrations in support of the Khalistani separatist agenda in New Zealand but also covers them on his fake media website.

Deep State Press’s Separatist Agenda
In one X post, Deep State Press calls Indian IT professionals “clerks” and “easily replaceable,” which appears to be aimed at belittling the Indian IT industry and India’s soft power. Meanwhile, one post tries to legitimize and “highlight” the Khalistan movement. In one post, it makes the fake claim that US President Trump has supported SFJ (Sikhs for Justice). Deep State Press, while running an anti-India narrative, not only belittles the Indian IT sector but also legitimizes the Khalistan movement, portrays India as aggressive in the Canada dispute, and tries to show India’s global strategic position as weak.

ii- Neon White Cat
The user named Neon White Cat is active on social media and presents himself as a warrior against Indians. His online activities show an organized pattern different from normal posting, which can be considered part of a planned propaganda. Neon White Cat’s posts often not only violate social media platform policies but also use insulting and inflammatory language.
This user’s previous account was @NeonWhiteRabbit, which was suspended by X (formerly Twitter) for violating rules. According to the platform’s policy, any account can be removed for spreading hate, harassment, or sharing offensive content. According to available information, the activities on @NeonWhiteRabbit fell into these categories. After the account was suspended, Neon White Cat launched a campaign on social media to reactivate it. In this campaign, he gave his followers the message that the suspension was “unjust” and his account should be restored. Efforts were also made to trend hashtags and stay active by creating new accounts.
Neon White Cat’s pattern makes it clear that his online presence is not limited to sharing personal views. His posts often create negative narratives against Indians and promote divisive thinking in society. Such activities are considered challenges for digital platforms because these accounts repeatedly circumvent rules and remain active through new methods.

Neon White Cat’s Anti-India Propaganda
This user’s posts consistently describe Indians as undeveloped, useless, and deceitful. This user is accusing Indians of committing fraud in companies, grabbing jobs by showing fake degrees, and occupying American jobs. His posts provide no factual evidence but are completely misleading and communal. The post also mentions Japan and America: “Japan is losing its shit over their Indian invasion,” showing that this user is presenting Indians negatively at the international level.

Some posts reference US President Trump and employment policies: “All TRUMP is doing is clearing the manual labor jobs… as the INDIANS steal your white collar position.” Here, Indians are shown as “useless and infiltrating” America. These statements are inflammatory, inciting nationalist and communal politics.

iii- Indian Invasion
@IndianInvasionN‘s content is clearly anti-India and spreads hatred against Indian immigrants. The posts show a combination of demands for mass deportation, cultural insults, and separatist messages. This campaign not only tarnishes the image of Indians on social media but also attempts to create fear and mistrust globally. @IndianInvasionN is a collection of anti-India and separatist posts. It mainly shows that this user is consistently focused on spreading mass deportation and negative narratives against Indians.
The user repeatedly writes in posts that “Mass deportation of Indians is required,” “Mass deportations of Indians are inevitable,” and “Mass deportation of Indians can’t come soon enough.” This is clearly a message spreading hate and targeting the community. The user posts in the context of different countries (#Canada, #England, #America, #Britain, #Ireland), sending the message that the presence of Indians is a global threat. This shows a separatist and divisive agenda that is not limited to social media alone.

3. Bangladesh Connection to Anti-India Activities
A special “Bangladesh connection” has emerged in the network spreading anti-India online propaganda. Two users are involved in this nexus who have direct ties to Bangladesh. These users are Intellectual Caveman and Lara. Their content often includes fake news, false reports, and inflammatory posts, which this network rapidly spreads through each other’s channels and profiles.
It has been found that these users increase the reach and impact of other Indian users running agendas against India by sharing or reposting their posts from time to time. The Bangladesh connection can also be seen in the pattern of their content and language choices, making it clear that this network is organized not just locally but internationally. Such nexuses not only spread misinformation but also work to create tension and confusion in society.

Intellectual Caveman (@imcaveman24) presents itself as a parody account, but its tweets contain lies and hate-filled messages against India. In one post, it claims “Mujib was an Indian agent, he same as India to me,” which is an attempt to inflame Bangladesh-India relations. In another tweet, it takes a murder that occurred from a mutual dispute in India and questions the American government about why Indians are being given facilities to come to America.
Lara (@LaraLotus_) targets India’s culture and religious traditions. In one tweet, India’s cow dung festival is mocked. In another post, a photo of Prime Minister Modi is used to taunt Sanatan Dharma and traditions. In another post, Indians are abused with insulting language.

4. Different Accounts, But Same Script!
These social media accounts are regularly copying-pasting and reposting each other’s content, creating a pattern of collective, planned propaganda. First, look at the posts of Neon White Cat and Codex India. Here, both accounts often share insulting and misleading material against India and Indians. Neon White Cat uses language in his tweets that proves India and Indians trivial, such as mentioning “cow poop eating foreigners” and “GLOBAL INDIAN INVASION.” Meanwhile, Codex India reposts similar material and sometimes presents it in detail, such as mocking claims related to H-1B visas and tech jobs.
Similarly, accounts like Lara Lotus and Indian Invasion also repost Codex India’s posts and advance the same theme. For example, Lara Lotus mocked Indians’ behavior while joking about H-1B visas. Indian Invasion presented a negative and provocative perspective on Indians’ involvement in tech jobs.
Throughout this network, it can be seen that different accounts repeat the same message in different ways, making this material’s impact broad and consistent. Additionally, accounts like Intellectual Caveman also try to suspiciously involve India in American political events using Codex India’s tweets as a basis. Similarly, Codex India has also spread false claims about Indian students in Australia and cleaning in American hospitals. This shows that not just reposting, but presenting content in new contexts is also part of the strategy.
This entire activity makes it clear that these accounts are not just sharing content but working on a shared agenda. They constantly repeat each other’s posts, copy-paste them, and sometimes make them more effective by adding additional details or satire. Such collective and coordinated activity is part of the strategy to spread anti-India ideas on social media and make them appear legitimate.
Overall, the copy-paste and reposting pattern in this network shows that these users, while working under different profiles, are promoting a shared agenda. This is not just personal opinion, but a planned digital strategy spread across multiple accounts, being operated to defame India and Indians.

9 Faces, One Agenda — Defaming India!
The combination of these nine accounts and handles is not just a coincidence but a planned digital campaign. They repeat the same story in different tones across various platforms: showing India as unstable, violent, or hegemonic. Some accounts create memes and short videos that incite fear and hatred; some fabricate serious accusations through fake statistics, fake audio, and edited clips.
i. Strategy to Show India as a Global Threat and Victim of an International Conspiracy
The first and biggest objective of these users is to show India as the center of global threats and international conspiracies. Handles like @deepstatepres and @IndianInvasionN portray India as a dangerous and aggressive nation, while @Mel68475706 has accused India of targeting American and Canadian citizens. To spread this narrative, these users use modern technology and digital strategies:
- Increasing post engagement with bots and troll networks
- Using deepfakes and AI-generated content to show India as violent and corrupt
- Influencing foreign media and public through viral graphics and fake reports
ii. Attacks on Social, Cultural, and Indian Immigrants
The second major strategy is to create internal division and mistrust by targeting Indian society, culture, and immigrant citizens. Handles like @imcaveman24 and @aus_pill present Indian culture and institutions negatively, while @LaraLotus_ questions the morality of immigrants. The following techniques are adopted for this:
- Using viral videos, memes, and forwarded posts to rapidly spread the narrative
- Hybrid narrative, mixing truth and lies to confuse the public
