Fact Check
Our investigation found that the video was shared in a misleading context. The same visuals were published by multiple Bangladeshi media outlets on July 1, 2025.
According to Ajker Patrika, the incident occurred in Ashtagram, Kishoreganj, Bangladesh, where at least 35 people were injured in a clash between two factions of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). Police and local sources confirmed that a long-standing family feud between Abdullahpur Union BNP President Kamal Pasha and Kishoreganj District Volunteer Party Joint Convener Farhad Ahmed’s group had led to repeated violent clashes.

According to the Dhaka Mail as well, a fierce clash broke out between two BNP groups in Ashtagram, Kishoreganj. At least 40 people were injured in the clash. Vandalism, looting, and arson also took place during the clash.
Conclusion
The claim that the video shows an attack in Goalpara, Assam, is false. The footage is from Bangladesh, not India.
