Have volunteers been given training to target Christians and Muslims in Chhattisgarh? Here’s the Truth
A video showing people in orange clad taking oath has recently surfaced on social media platform X(formerly Twitter). Pak handles shared this video and claimed that hundreds of RSS volunteers were reportedly trained in Chhattisgarh to target Christians and Muslims by taking an oath to carry out violent acts.
An account named Kashmir Urdu posted this video on X and wrote: “Hundreds of Hindutva volunteers in Chhattisgarh, India, were trained to kill Muslims and Christians and made to swear to complete it” (Translated from Urdu)

Moreover, other handles also shared this video and claimed similar facts on X. The preview link can be seen here and here.
Fact-Check
In the probe, the DFRAC team found that the claim shared with the viral video, to be misleading.
We reverse-searched the keyframes from the viral video and found the same video on Facebook with the date Dec 27, 2024.

Next, we discovered this video on X handle of Stop Hindu Hate Adovacy Network mentioning that the video was in Telugu and was not from Chhattisgarh. They were not taking oaths to kill Christians. They were recruits of Bajrang Dal who were taking oath to save Hindu dharma through physical and financial means.

For further confirmation, we translated the words of the audio part which revealed that Bajrang Dal workers took a pledge in Telugu language saying: “We all pray for the welfare of Hinduism and its heritage. I will selflessly dedicate my body, heart, and soul in the service of Hinduism.
Conclusion
It is clear from DFRAC’s fact-check that the claim shared with the viral video is completely false. The above pieces of evidence proved that the video was not from Chhattisgarh and people seen in the video were not
trained to target Christians and Muslims.
