Several Pak-based handles posted an image of a CRPF ASI on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and alleged that Kashmiri fighters attacked the CRPF Camp in Jammu and Kashmir. CRPF ASI Vishnu Prajapati has been killed in the attack.
An X handle named Psywar Bureau posted this image and claimed: “Kashmiri frẹẹdom fỉghtẹrs launched a deadly assault on a heavily guarded CRPF in Jammu and Kashmir, leaving CRPF ASI Vishnu Prajapati dead.

Moreover, other users also shared this image and made similar facts. The preview link can be seen here and here.
Fact-Check
In the probe, the DFRAC team found that this claim had been misleadingly shared on X. The CRPF ASI died due to a heart attack.
We performed a reverse-image search using Google Lens and found a tweet on the X handle of the regional media outlet Gujarat First.
The tweet carried a reel showing the same image & a funeral procession.
Further, it informed that a CRPF jawan named, Vishnu Prajapati who was serving as an ASI in Srinagar, from Kaniyol village in Himmatnagar, died of a heart attack while on duty in Jammu and Kashmir. The mortal remains of ASI Vishnu Prajapati were brought to his native Kaniyol. He was given a final farewell with a guard of honor (Translated from Gujarati)

Investigating further, we found a report by Patrika carrying the same image of deceased CRPF ASI and citing similar facts as the Gujarat first tweet informed. The report stated that the Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Vishnu Prajapati (53) died of a heart attack while on duty at the Kulgam check post in Jammu and Kashmir. A large number of villagers gathered for the funeral on Wednesday in Kaniyol village of Himmatnagar tehsil of Sabarkantha district.

Clearly, the CRPF ASI was not killed by the militants in Jammu and Kashmir.
Conclusion
It is clear from DFRAC’s fact-check that the viral claim shared with the deceased CRPF ASI’s image is completely misleading. In reality, he died due to a heart attack while on duty,
