On social media, an image of explosion has gone viral. While sharing the image users claim that “Tel Aviv last night. If you burn us you will burn with us too”

Fact Check
During the investigation, DFRAC found that the claim was false. We found a media report from ‘thejerusalempost’ carrying similar image published on 2 Nov, 2023 stating “Two homes in a central Israeli village and the northern city of Kiryat Shnoba took a direct hit from rocket barrages fired at Israel from the North and South earlier today.”
Furthermore, we also found a post from the X handle of ‘sentdefender’ with the same image uploaded on 2 Nov, 2023 with the caption “Damage to several Buildings and Cars in the Northern Israeli City of Kiryat Shmona due to Hezbollah Rockets Impacts.”
Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that the image does not show a recent attack on Tel Aviv and dates back to 2023. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.
