Fact Check: Old video of Donald Trump falsely linked to the aftermath of the U.S. presidential election victory.

On social media, a video of Donald Trump after the victory of 47th US President has gone viral. While sharing the video users claim that “NEW: President Trump has announced he will be holding a HUGE 250th Birthday Party for America This sounds awesome. Trump says it will be called the “Great American State Fair,” held in Iowa, and feature pavilions from all 50 states. I love it! It’s so refreshing to FINALLY have a patriot re-entering the White House!.”

Fact Check
During the investigation, DFRAC found that the claim was false. We found a similar video on the official YouTube channel of ‘Donald Trump’ uploaded on 31 May, 2023 with the caption “Three years from now, the United States will celebrate the biggest and most important milestone in our country’s history — 250 years of American Independence. That’s why as a nation, we should be preparing for the most spectacular birthday party. We want to make it the best of all time.”
Furthermore, we also found media report from ‘politico’ published on 31 May, 2023 stated “In 2026, the U.S. will celebrate the semiquincentennial: the quarter millennial since its declaration of independence. To commemorate the anniversary, Trump is proposing a blowout, 12-month-long ‘Salute to America 250’ celebration.”
Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that the viral video of Donald Trump dates back to 2023, not from the latest victory of US Presidential Elections 2024. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.
