Fact Check

During the fact check DFRAC found that the video was misleadingly shared. We found multiple media reports regarding this video. According to ‘Etv Bharat’ report published on 23 Jan, 2024 “The dream of constructing the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was realised after centuries, leading to celebrations among Ram devotees worldwide. An unexpected twist occurred when a video surfaced showing Chinese soldiers chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’, along with the Indian Army. along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).”

Furthermore, we also found a report from ‘IndiaTv’ published on 23 Jan, 2024 stating “The Indian soldiers were seen helping the troops of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to recite the ‘Jai Shree Ram’ chant. The video emerged when the nation celebrated the historic “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, led by PM Modi.”

Moreover, we also found a similar video on the YouTube channel of ‘Hindustan Times’ uploaded on 23 Jan, 2024 with the description “An undated video showing Chinese soldiers – along with Indian troops – chanting Hindu slogan ‘Jai Shri Ram’ purportedly at Line of Actual Control has gone viral.”

Conclusion

It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that the viral video dates back to Jan 2024, not from recently. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.

Fact Check: No, Pakistan’s J-10C Did Not Shoot Down an Indian Rafale Over the LoC Dramatic silhouette of a Chinese-made J-10C fighter jet in mid-flight against a vivid sunset sky, with its afterburner trail illuminated in the twilight. The image was featured in a viral social media post by a Pakistani defense account, falsely claiming that the aircraft had successfully shot down an Indian Rafale jet during an aerial encounter over the Line of Control (LoC). The claim was later fact-checked and debunked by Indian authorities as misinformation.
