The state turned Union Territory has rocked once again after the rise in terror activites despite the UT has witnessed the first phase of Legislative elections.Amid this, claims and misinformation are rife on social media platforms . Recently, a pak-based handle has taken to on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and claimed that 4 Indian soldiers died, and 28 were injured after their bus rolled down (in a suspected IED blast) in Budgam, Jammu &Kashmir.
Account named Tactical Tribune posted an image on X and wrote: “4 1ndian soldiers dead, 28 injured after their bus rolled down (in a suspected IED blast) in Budgam, J & K”

To check the veracity of the above-shared claim, the DFRAC team searched some keywords on Google in this regard. We came across some latest reports from Business Today, Daily excelsior & India Today.
As per reports, at least four Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were killed while several others injured after a bus they were travelling in for poll duty skidded off road and fell into a gorge in Brell Waterhail area of Budgam district.
Notably, suspected IED blast did not appear in any media report.
Conclusion
It is evident from DFRAC’s #factcheck that the above-shared claim stating that 4 Indian soldiers dead, 28 injured after their bus rolled down (in a suspected IED blast) in Budgam is misleading since media reports do not mention any suspected IED blast in this recent mishap.
