Fact-Check
To begin our fact-check process, we conducted a keyword search on Google regarding the above-shared claim. We discovered a tweet by Whiteknight IA (official X handle of 16 corps Indian Army) offering condolences to the family of a deceased soldier who lost his life in the tragic road accident near Manjakote Rajouri during counter Insurgency duty while extending prayers of speedy recovery for the injured.
Furthermore, India TV, Zee news, and Aajtak also reported this news. As per latest reports, in a tragic accident, one Army jawan lost his life while several others were injured after their vehicle skidded off the road & fell into a 100-foot gorge in the Manjakote area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Tuesday.
Conclusion
It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check that the claim shared by Pak handles is misleading. In reality, it was a tragic accident in which an Indian army vehicle veered off the road & fell into a 100-foot gorge claiming the life of one soldier & leaving several others injured
