On social media, a video of making juice is going viral. While sharing the video, users wrote, “Hygiene is illegal in India”.
Fact Check
On investigation, DFRAC found that this video is from Bangladesh. We found a video on the YouTube channel ‘Foodie Incarnate’ uploaded on June 12, 2023, titled “Unique Fruit Drink of Bangladesh, See what kind of juice is made in Bangladesh, Dhaka Street Food”.
Furthermore, we also found a similar video on the ‘Street Food Show’ Facebook page based in Bangladesh, which regularly shares food-related content.
Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that this video is not from India but from Bangladesh. Therefore, the claim of social media users are misleading.
