On social media, an image of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris with two people goes viral. While sharing the image users claim that the man and woman seen in the photo are parents of Kamala Harris and also claim they are Indian.
Fact Check
On Investigation, DFRAC found that the persons in the photo are not Kamala Harris’s parents. Kamala Harris’s Father Donald J. Harris was a Professor of Economics, at Stanford University, and her mother Shyamala Gopalan was a biomedical Scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that the person in the picture with Kamala Harris is not her Parents but someone else. Therefore, the claim of social media users is fake.
