Sharing this image on X, a user named Sarah Wilkinson wrote: “Yemen’s Houthis have just bombed the occupied city of Tel Aviv for the second time in under 24 hours: just the beginning | via”
Moreover, many users shared this image and made similar claims.

Upon reverse-searching the viral image on Google, the DFRAC found a tweet by Israel Hayom Heb carrying the same image with the caption: “The car explosion in Herzliya: the death of the man who was trapped in his car was determined“. The image was posted on June 28, 2024.
Furthermore, we also found a report by Al Jazeera Mubasher from June 28, 2024, featuring a video of the incident and revealing that one person was killed and another was moderately injured on June 28 in a car explosion in the city of Herzliya, north of Tel Aviv In addition, The Jerusalem Post also reported this incident stating similar facts in the context of the above viral image
Conclusion
It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check that the viral image is from June 2024 which has been misleadingly shared with the latest news of Houthis’ missile attack on Tel Aviv.
