Recently, we saw the Lok Sabha Elections in India. After that, the most talked-about election is the US elections in 2024. Following this, an image of a sizable gathering raising US flags is going viral. Furthermore, it is claiming it to be from Trump’s rally for the US elections 2024.
Fact Check
We investigated this viral claim. Firstly, we checked the recent media reports about the US elections in 2024, and to our surprise, we found no such image. On close inspection, we found that the facial features of the people standing on the truck were distorted, which made it more likely to be AI-generated.
Taking a clue from this, we used an AI image detection tool named Hugging Face and the results we got were shocking the image was 66% AI-generated.
Conclusion
Henceforth, it is clear from DFRAC’s fact-check that the viral image is AI-generated. The viral claim showing Trump’s rally for US elections in 2024 is fake.
