A claim has recently surfaced on social media site X(Twitter) stating that Chinese PLA has captured 3 Indian soldiers near Chushul sector of Ladakh. Several Pak-based handles shared this claim on X(Twitter)
A pak-based handle namely Ironclad with the username @NavCom24, who usually spreads misinformation on X, has shared an image showing some soldiers, on X . The image’s caption reads: “#BREAKING: Chinese PLA has captured 03 Indian soldiers near Chushul sector of occupied Ladakh.”
In addition to this, other pak-based handles have shared this image and made similar claims.
Fact-Check
The DFRAC team investigated the viral claim by conducting a keyword search on google regarding the above claim. We found that no reports had been published by any media outlet in this regard.
Moreover, on examining the X handle of Indian Army, no such updates or tweets had been found in the support of the above claim.
Conclusion
It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check that the viral claim stating Chinese PLA has captured 3 Indian soldiers near Chushul sector of Ladakh is completely Fake as there are no such reports or updates in this context.
Hence, the claim made by Pak-based handles is false.
