An image depicting some army officials is making rounds on X (formerly Twitter) alleging that an Indian Army Brigadier was arrested for massive corruption in soldiers’ pension program.
A pak-based handle with username, @NavCom24, Known spreading misinformation, has shared this image on X with the caption: “#BREAKING Indian Army Brigadier arrested for massive corruption in soldiers pension program. He recently bought a mansion for about $43 Million in Los Angeles, California”

A reverse-image search of this viral image led us to some reports from Hindustan Times, The Print and ANI, published in feb 2023 featuring the same image. As per reports, Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande reviews the operational preparedness & prevailing security situation during his visit to the Northern Command Headquarters, in Udhampur.
For further investigation, we conducted a keyword search on Google related to the claim made through the viral image. No reports or any news articles have been found supporting the above viral claim
Conclusion
It is clear from DFRAC’s fact-Check that the viral image is from 2023 which has been misleadingly shared with baseless claim on X as no reports have been published by any media outlet in this regard.
