A video is circulating on social media. While sharing this video users claim that this video is of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and that there has been an assassination attempt on him.

Social media users are sharing this video with claims. While sharing this video, a user named Clown World wrote “There has been an assassination attempt on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman”

Fact Check:

DFRAC conducted a keyword search on Google regarding the viral news. However, we did not find any media house publishing any news regarding Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.

Furthermore, our team Looked at the Twitter handle of SaudiDCD we found that this news was uploaded on 16 March 2024 mentioning “In Riyadh, that a fire in two vehicles was extinguished following a traffic accident, and no injuries were reported”.

Conclusion:

DFRAC’s fact-check reveals that the viral video clip was from a traffic accident in Riyadh. Therefore the claim of social media users that the assassination attempt on  Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman is fake.
