A video is circulating on social media. In this video, we can see a young boy getting publicly hanged in a crowd. While sharing this video users claim that this video is from Rajasthan, where a Dalit boy named Narayan Das was hanged publicly. Some users also claim that he was hanged because he insulted a statue in a temple of the upper caste.
While sharing this video, a user named Kavita Yadav wrote – “Hindu Taliban extremist Manuwadis hanged a Dalit boy and did it by sharing the live video. It is said that this boy had insulted a statue in a high caste temple.”

Fact Check:
DFRAC conducted a keyword search on Google regarding the viral news. However, we did not find any media house publishing any news regarding the public hanging of Narayan Das, a Dalit boy, for allegedly insulting a statue in the temple of the upper caste in Rajasthan.
Furthermore, our team looked at the X handle of @PoliceRajasthan. We found that, Rajasthan Police has declared this incident as fake. Police said that some people had posted a video and claimed that this video was from Rajasthan. This video is completely fake, no such incident has taken place in Rajasthan.
Rajasthan police also said that they will investigate those people who post such videos and take strict action against them.
Conclusion:
It is clear from the clarification of Rajasthan Police that there has been no incident of public hanging of a Dalit boy for insulting a statue of upper caste in a temple. Therefore the claim of social media users is fake.
