The DFRAC team investigated this news and found a media report dated March 18, from the TASS News agency stating: “We are happy to confirm that The King is continuing with official and private business,” Buckingham Palace told a TASS correspondent”.
Upon investigating further, we found a tweet on the X handle of the British Embassy in Ukraine mentioning that we would like to inform you that the news about the death of King Charles III is fake.
In addition, a media report by NDTV published on March 19 cited that the British Embassy in Ukraine and Buckingham Palace were forced to announce that King Charles was very much alive after Russian media reported he had died.
Furthermore, another media report from Business Standard dated March 19 stated: “British officials on Monday refuted the rumours surrounding the alleged death of King Charles III, heavily reported by multiple media outlets earlier in the day. As many Russian media outlets announced the death of the UK King, the British Embassy in Ukraine issued a response saying that the “news about the death of King Charles III is fake.”
