Amid the implementation of the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act), a screenshot of Pakistan’s current PM Shebhaz Sharif’s X Post is making rounds on social media site X(Twitter). The screenshot of his X Post reads: ” To counter Indian Govt’s undemocratic & communal CAA, Govt of Pak has decided to notify Pak’s own CAA, in which Indian Muslims who feel persecuted in India will be given citizenship of Pak”

Sharing this screenshot on X, a user named Abdul Kitabi wrote: ‘Full support to Pakistan PM”

Furthermore, other users also shared this screenshot and gave different responses.

Fact-Check:

To investigate the authenticity of the viral screenshot, the DFRAC team examined the X(Twitter) handle of Shehbaz Sharif. We discovered that no such tweet was done by him. Moreover, we also investigated through advanced search and checked the archives but we did not get any such post from the handle of Shehbaz Sharif.

Conclusion

It is evident from DFRAC’s Fact-Check that the viral screenshot of PaK PM Shehbaz Sharif’s X post is completely fake as no such tweet or post was found on his handle.

Hence, the claim of users is false.
