To verify the authenticity of the above viral news, the Dfrac team did a keyword search on Google and found a tweet carrying a press release on the official X handle of Darbhanga Police with the caption: “News of Muria village of the police station is a rumour, It is not a matter of religious conversion, but of a land dispute.”(Translated to English).
According to the press release, the sub-divisional officer said that this matter is not at all related to religious conversion or religious dispute, but is a land dispute. During the investigation, it was found that a long-vacant government land between two parties, over which there is a dispute.
