For this, the party is also offering free recharge worth ₹239 for 28 days and the last date is 26 Jan.

The DFRAC team conducted a keyword search in the context of the above viral claim. We visited the official website of Congress inc.in and performed an advanced search on the official X handles of ‘@INCIndia’ and ‘@RahulGandhi’ but we didn’t get any information regarding this claim. In addition, no such news was found.

The link belongs to a particular blog, implying that this is not an official announcement.

Conclusion

It is clear from DFRAC’s Fact-Check that the link with the viral message belongs to a blog post with a fake claim on Google Eblogger. Thus, the claim of WhatsApp users is false.
