A video is going viral on social media platforms showing a mob of women storming into an area. Users on social media are sharing this video and claiming that hundreds of Hindutva Meitei militants attacked Kuki Christians during Christmas celebrations.
An account named Islamabad Vibe also posted this video on X(Twitter) and wrote: “Very disturbing footage from Manipur: Hundreds of Hindutva militants attacked Kuki Christians during Christmas celebrations. More than 300 Christians have been killed on 25 and 26 December. This is the real face of India. “

Fact-Check
To determine the authenticity of the viral video, the DFRAC team converted it into some keyframes and reverse-searched it on Google. Meanwhile, we found this video posted on YouTube Channel with caption: “Kuki Women folk Stormed into SoO Camps for being mere Spectators amidst clashes in Manipur”. Moreover, the video was posted in the month of May 2023.
Following this, we also discovered that the video went viral on X(Twitter)
in May 2023, stating: SoO designated camp of Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA)& Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) at Saikul, Kangpokpi District, was stormed by Kuki women folks today for not protecting Kuki villages.
Conclusion
It is clear from DFRAC’s Fact-Check that the viral video claiming Hundreds of Hindutva Meitei militants attacked Kuki Christians during Christmas celebrations is misleading since the video is from May 2023 and related to the Kuki women’s attack in SoO camps.
