Fact Check

The DFRAC team investigated the viral claim. We found no media reports published regarding any such announcements of Shutdown.

Furthermore, we found a video posted by The Kashmir Connect (@KASHMICO), a Jammu & Kashmir digital news platform, where it can be seen that no shutdown is being conducted. In the video, it can be heard that ‘no protest or band is supported by Kashmiri people and the city is functioning as normal’.
