Amid this, an image is being widely shared on social media platforms with the claim that it belongs to the workers trapped in the tunnel. Now, the question is being raised when will these workers come out?

Sharing this image on X(Twitter), a user named Prabhat Pandey (@thepkpandey) wrote: “What is the benefit of reaching the moon? If we cannot reach the workers trapped in the tunnel for so many days” (English Translation)

Fact-Check
To investigate the authenticity of the viral image, the DFRAC team conducted a reverse-image search and found this image on the timeline of a Facebook user named ‘Our Village Islampur’ which was uploaded on September 25, 2020, with the caption in Pashto language.
The image has been posted by many users from time to time. The image was also posted on Facebook by SHO Nisar Ahmed on February, 21,2021 with the caption in the Urdu language: “O Allah, there is no shortage in Your treasures, have mercy on these poor, helpless, and helpless people. Amen”. (English Translation)
Conclusion
It is clear from DFRAC’s Fact-Check that the viral image does not belong to the trapped workers in the tunnel of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. This image was previously posted by several users on Facebook in the years 2020 and 2022. Therefore, the claim of social media users is false.
