Sharing this news on social media site X(Twitter), a user named Hindu Mahasabha claimed: “Attacked and demolished Hindu temple idol murty Karnataka : #Kolar became hub of Anti Hindus. @KolarPolice enable control Islamic Jihad and conversion mafias in District

To determine the authenticity of the viral news, the DFRAC team searched some keywords related to the viral news on Google. We found a post shared on the official X(Twitter) Handle of Kolar Police, Karnataka.

According to the post shared by Kolar Police on X(Twitter), Krishna Reddy, aged 33, identified as mentally unstable, was found desecrating the idol at a Hindu Temple. Despite the incident, the temple authorities have proposed not to take any legal action against him. However, an NCR has been registered at Gulpet Police Station.
