Claim made by other users
Other social media users are also sharing a copy of Digvijay’s resignation letter and making the similar claim.
Fact Check
Firstly, the DFRAC team checked the account of Digvijaya Singh on X. We didn’t find his resignation letter, but we found a post related to this, in which he termed the news of his resignation as fake.
What did the Congress leader say?
In the post, he wrote “BJP is expert in lying. I took membership of Congress in 1971. I joined Congress not for the post but because I was influenced by the ideology and I will remain in Congress till my last breath. I am filing a police complaint against this lie”.
Madhya Pradesh Congress committee has filed a complaint in this regard against BJP spokesperson Dr Hitesh Bajpai.
Conclusion
Thus, it is clear from the DFRAC fact check that MP former CM and Senior Congress Leader Digvijaya Singh has not resigned. The viral resignation letter on social media is fake. So, the claim of social media users is also false.
