Fact-Check
To verify the claims related to the viral graphical image, the Dfrac team searched some keywords on Google. We didn’t came across any news associated with this claim published by any media house.
Surely, we discovered some other media reports claiming that in October 2019, parliament of Denmark had passed a law associated with citizenship. According to law, the government of Denmark can strip off the nationality of the militants who have gone abroad to fight for militant groups like Islamic State.
At the same time, the team didn’t find information on the website of Danish parliament claiming the Danish parliament passed a law stating that Muslim citizens have no right to vote.
A person must be at least 18 years old to vote in Denmark. The person voting must be a resident of Denmark, Greenland or the Faroe Islands.
According to media reports, the Muslim Community in Denmark, is treated stringently.
Conclusion
Dfrac’s Fact-Check proves that Denmark has not passed any law which deprives Muslims of their voting rights. Hence, the claim of social media users is false.
