Fact-Check:
The DFRAC team first converted the video into some keyframes to know the reality of the viral video. Then they searched for reverse images on the internet. During this time, the team found that the viral video covered by a Russian website named Bloknot and Life. The title of the video translated into English is, “In Krasnodar, a girl was brutally beaten up to prevent her from running away to her lover.”
A Russian social media user named ‘REBORN ’ also posted the same video on July 6, 2021, on the online social media platform, V Kontakte. The Russian caption of the post roughly translates to, “In Krasnodar, they beat and humiliated a young Gypsy woman who wanted to run away to a boy in Ukraine, and they also beat her relatives, apparently her father and brothers, who supported her.”
Even in May 2022, this video has gone viral under the above claim. A user named Tin Man tweeted under the caption, “Brother beats up girl for wanting to date non-Muslim in US”

Conclusion:
Reports from the Russian website clearly state that this video is not from the United States but from Russia, and there is no communal angle to it. Therefore, the claim made by social media users, including the verified Twitter user, is false and misleading.
