There are claims circulating on social media that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has deleted all his tweets on Veer Savarkar out of fear. Social media users are citing statements made by Savarkar’s grandson, who spoke of potential legal action against Rahul Gandhi for his remarks.

In reality, Rahul Gandhi was convicted of defamation by a court in Surat and sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for comments he made about the Modi surname. This resulted in him losing his Lok Sabha seat. In response, the BJP is accusing Rahul Gandhi of being anti-OBC and demanding an apology.

During a press conference, Rahul Gandhi dismissed these accusations and claimed that the BJP was using them as a distraction from the Adani issue. He also stated that he would not apologize, saying, “My name is Rahul Gandhi, not Savarkar. And Gandhi never apologizes.”

Fact Check:

To investigate this claim DFRAC team did a search on the Social blade (a social media caching & stats portal for popular accounts) and found that he does not have deleted any tweets in last two days.

Other than this we checked the web archives and found no deleted posts from Rahul Gandhi’s account.

To inquire further, we checked the official Twitter account of the Indian National Congress and found many tweets on Veer Savarkar, as they were not deleted.

Conclusion:

It is clear from this Fact Check that Rahul Gandhi never tweeted anything on Veer Sawarkar from his personal account is the reason one cannot find any posts not because he deleted them in the fear of defamation.

Hence the claim of social media users is Fake.

Fact Check: No, Pakistan’s J-10C Did Not Shoot Down an Indian Rafale Over the LoC Dramatic silhouette of a Chinese-made J-10C fighter jet in mid-flight against a vivid sunset sky, with its afterburner trail illuminated in the twilight. The image was featured in a viral social media post by a Pakistani defense account, falsely claiming that the aircraft had successfully shot down an Indian Rafale jet during an aerial encounter over the Line of Control (LoC). The claim was later fact-checked and debunked by Indian authorities as misinformation.
