Bhandari twitted about the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and Ahilya Bai Holkar. Using a phrase in his post, he claimed that Ahilya Bai Holkar had made Aurangzeb chew iron gram. Bhandari wrote- “Where I come from, that city is Indore, The city of mother Ahilyabai Holkar ji. On the Fact Check of Pradeep Bhandari’s claims, the DFRAC team did a simple search on google. We found a Wikipedia page of Aurangzeb. According to Wikipedia, Aurangzeb was born on 31st July 1658 and he died on 3rd March 1707.
After that, the DFRAC team did a simple search on google to gather more information about Ahilya Bai Holkar. According to the Wikipedia page of Ahilya Bai, she was born on 31st May 1725 and died on 13 august 1795.
According to available information on Wikipedia that Aurangzeb died 18 years before the birth of Ahilya Bai and there is no historical evidence of any kind of clash or war between Aurangzeb and Ahilya Bai. On the other hand, according to the report of www.youthkiawaaz.com, Ahilya Bai Holkar with her intelligence and prudence averted the Peshwa’s attack hovering over her kingdom. Apart from this, she also suppressed the rebels of the Rajputs.

It is clear after the fact check of DFRAC, Aurangzeb died 18 years before the birth of Ahilya Bai and There is no historical fact of the clash between Aurangzeb and Ahilya Bai. Hence, Pradeep Bhandari’s claim is misleading.
