New pictures of Tata Nano car getting viral are fake- Read Fact Check

Ratan Tata, the former chairman of the Tata Group, is one of India’s most liked businessmen in the country, mainly because of his ethics and grounded behavior. He came into the highlights when he launched the cheapest car Nano by Tata Motors in India which was unveiled on 10th January 2008 and was launched in 2009.

Now the news of Tata Motors unveiling the new avatar of the Nano car in this context, a picture of the Tata Nano EV is shared on social media. An article by a daily news post shared a picture of the new Nano EV.

A video was also shared by a YouTube channel showcasing the new features and design of the Tata Nano EV.

Fact Check:

We reverse-searched the viral image of the car and found that the image is actually of the Toyota Aygo hatchback, which isn’t even an EV car.

It is though true that Ratan Tata is planning on launching the new Nano EV car but is yet to come which can be ranging between 2-3 lakhs.

Conclusion:

The viral picture is not of the new Tata Nano EV, but of the Toyota Aygo hatchback. Hence the claim by social media users is Fake.
