Fact Check
On, a reverse image search of different keyframes of the video, the DFRAC team found a tweet from the verified account of UP POLICE FACT CHECK. The tweet mentioned, “#FactCheck – The case is related to the year 2021 in which necessary legal action has been taken at that time. This misleading post has been refuted by @noidapolice. Please do not spread rumors by posting misleading posts without verification. #UPVPiralCheck #UPPolice.”
At the same time, the team also found a clarification by @noidapolice. The tweet mentioned that “A video went viral of Police personnel of Police Station Sector-142 Noida beating them with bats, the said episode is of the year 2021. This video has gone viral several times in the past as well, on which action has been taken in the past.”
