A video is getting viral on social media sites with a claim that Congress leader Supriya Shrinate called Rahul Gandhi a ‘ Dhongee Hindu’.
By sharing this video a verified user named Amit Malviya who is in charge of BJP’s National Information and Technological Department captioned: “ Rahul Gandhi is a hypocrite Hindu, everyone knows this. There is no need to scream.” ( English Translation)

Fact Check:
To analyze the originality of the viral video the team of DFRAC first separate keyframes, afterward, we did a reverse image search and found that the official youtube channel of AajTak has uploaded this video 1 year ago on 11 November 2021. The headline was:” Sunrise over Ayodhya Here’s what Congress spokesperson said on Salman Khurshid’s book? Halla Bol
In this 4 min, 37 seconds video from 3:40 to 3:48 Supriya Shrinate can be heard saying the same speech but it is not for Rahul Gandhi it is for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On further searches, we also found the tweet of Supriya Shrinate of November 11, 2021. The Tweet captioned: “ The real issues are unemployment, hunger, exploitation of farmers, BJP is diverting attention from them. Modi Ji has made a mockery of religion by carrying a camera in the sanctum sanctorum, wearing leather shoes, despite lakhs of protests from the priests.”

Conclusion:
It is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that the viral video of Supriya Shrinate is 1 Year old. Supriya Shrinate commented on PM Narendra Modi, not Rahul Gandhi. Therefore, the claim made by social media users is Misleading.
