A video of Patidar leader Hardik Patel, who had quit the Congress and joined the BJP just before the first phase of polling for 89 seats in the Gujarat assembly elections, has gone viral. In which he is appealing not to vote for BJP.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Naresh Balyan posted the video and wrote in his tweet that “there is a big ruckus in the BJP before the Gujarat elections. Hardik Patel swore by his “Kul Devta” that he should not vote for BJP . They have tortured our people. Has committed murders.
Apart from this, many other users have also shared this video with similar captions.
To verify the claim THE DFRAC team converted the video into keyframes with the help of the tool. A reverse search of the keyframes led to a similar video posted on Hardik Patel’s official Facebook page. The video has been posted on 7 December 2017.

Hence , it is clear from DFRAC ‘s fact check that the viral video is misleading. Because this video is not current but five years old. At that time, he was not a member of BJP.
