Fact Check

On DFRAC fact check analysis, the team got a tweet from verified account of Srinagar Police in which they have slammed the tweet of Sagar Kumar. In the tweet it was written that, “Don’t spread fake news and sensationalism by circulating old videos. Nothing of this sort reported from anywhere.”

Further, they quoted, “The video is half a decade old from Nawakadal chowk. Don’t spread fake news and sensationalism by circulating old videos. Nothing of this sort was reported from anywhere. #FakeNewsAlert.

After that, Sagar Kumar deleted the video but shared a tweet that reads as, “Yesterday a video of Srinagar was tweeted by mistake. When I came to know that it is fake, that tweet was deleted. But how much pain is there in these people, what kind of language are they using.” {English Translation}

pic.twitter.com/0xP6pPnQNt
