A newspaper cutting is going viral on social media. This cutting has been given the headline – “Even today Narendra Modi’s siblings hold Narendra Modi responsible for their father’s death”.

In the cutting of this newspaper, it has reported that Narendra Modi had escaped after stealing all the gold from the house. After which his father Damodar Das suffered a heart attack in shock. The family had also filed an FIR against Narendra Modi.

Sharing this newspaper cutting, a person named Manoj Tomar wrote- “#Modi Ji tells us that this is a lie, some blind devotee should not eat poison in this sorrow or tell them what to say by eating cow dung on this.

Twitter post

Meanwhile, many users are claiming the same by sharing the cutting of this newspaper

Fact Check:

To fact-check, the viral claim DFRAC searched on google. The picture used in the newspaper cutting was found published in several newspapers and websites. In a news published by Amar Ujala, the

same picture of PM Modi has been printed, which is in the cutting of the viral newspaper.

At the same time, when we searched about PM Modi stealing the gold from the house and his family registered an FIR against him, we found many news reports quoting PM Modi’s two elder brothers Prahlad Modi and Soma Modi. Both elder brothers of PM Modi have called cutting the viral newspaper misleading.

According to a report, PM Modi’s father died due to bone cancer in 1989. A few days before his father’s death, Modi returned to his house and has also given the holy water of Mansarovar to his father. According to his biographer Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay’s book ‘Narendra Modi: The Man, The Times. Modi left his village in 1967 and separated from his family

Conclusion

It is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that the claim about PM Modi and the piece of cutting newspaper on social media is photoshopped.
