These claims are not made by just normal social media users, but by someone like Pushpendra Kulshrestha, who is seen quite active as a speaker on social media and believed to be influencing perceptions of a section of youth.

Similarly, many other users have also claimed the same.
At the same time, on Facebook, the staunch Hindu Mahakal has raised questions about Indira Gandhi’s children being Brahmins by posting the same.
Amit Handa has made this claim by writing a long post. He also wrote, “There was no Nehru before Nehru and no Nehru after Nehru !! But no matter who the women of the Nehru dynasty marry, they give birth to “Gandhi”.

According to wikipedia page, Indira Gandhi’s husband’s full name was Feroze Jehangir Gandhi, he was born in a Parsi family in Mumbai. His father’s name was Jahangir and mother’s name was Ratimai. Freedom fighter Feroze Gandhi was a politician and journalist of India.
According to the report of Dainik Bhaskar, Gandhiji gave Feroz the surname ‘Gandhi’.
After marrying Feroze Gandhi, Indira also started using the surname ‘Gandhi’.
