For ages, Pakistan has been leaving no stone unturned to flourish their agenda be its political, economic or worse humanitarian crisis. Amid the recent killing of popular Punjabi singer, Sidhu Moosewala, Pakistan found it as an apt situation to sail their ship of propaganda.
With the news of Sidhu Moosewala being shot dead in Mansa, Punjab, the keyboard warriors from Pakistan found their seasonal employment by mushrooming on the #RawKilledMoosewala and changing the narrative of the incident. The news first came out at around 6:15pm on May 29th and the first tweet which came up upon Twitter was from a Pakistani account. Proof has been attached below:
Thereafter, proliferation on the hashtag begun. Without any surprise, all were Pakistani accounts. All the handles which contributed to the hashtag are as follows:
Accounts who tweeted mostly
Below graph tells us about the users who have tweeted the most on the hashtag of #RAWKilledMoosewala. All these users have blamed and spread disinformation of RAW killing Sidhu Moosewala. All of these accounts belong from Pakistan. @masheengunmulla have tweeted maximum number of times followed by @haiderzarrar1 whose account no longer exists. @awaisikram788 and @truthse68829926 also tweeted on the same topic.
Above are some of the tweets from these accounts.
Some accounts specifically came forth for this very purpose and after pushing the agenda they changed their username like the one below.
Screenshot attached below highlights the all the accounts have been Pakistani.
Soon after renowned personalities from Pakistan picked the agenda, some Sikh organizations jumped in to fuel the facade. They even attempted to draw parallels between 1984 and the killing of Moosewala.
All seemed to be copying each others’ content to escalate the fake narrative. A total of 26 accounts contributed, all being Pakistani and among them most of them were of PTI. Keeping in light, the current political turmoil in Pakistan, planting such seeds of hatred is obvious to defame the governing political body.
Even self-proclaimed news agencies of Pakistan did not shy away from pushing the propaganda with motive being only one- to incite Sikhs towards India.
Many Pakistani accounts are calling it the conspiracy of RAW, which is the intelligence service of India. All is done to degrade the image of India on international grounds.
Along with the hateful and disturbing narratives some fake news on different political parties are coming forth.
A screenshot of Arvind Kejriwal(CM Delhi) and Bhagwant Mann (CM Punjab) is getting viral on social media sites.
In the image both of them can be seen sitting outside a liquor shop.
We have already covered this image in our fact check and found it to be misleading.
As the image was taken from a visit of Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann from their visit to Chamkaur Sahib.
The image getting viral has been edited from the real image.
