FactCheck: Are The Streets Of Charminar Close In A Protest Over The Attack On Owaisi?

These days, many news are coming related to the recent attack on AIMIM chief Asad Owaisi. In the same vein, an image of empty streets is getting viral on the internet. Sharing the image Hi Hyderabad wrote in the caption, “Deserted Streets of Charminar in Hyderabad Today Morning. Shops have been closed voluntarily in protest of the attack on @asadowaisi.”

Similarly, many other users share this image on their social media handles. No doubt the attack on Owaisi is condemning. Also, these type of act  spread hate in the society.

On our FactCheck analysis, our team found a report from flower aura. Moreover, we also found that this image was a part of the Janta curfew in the wake of Covid 19. In the report, there were many other images of deserted streets of different areas also.

Therefore, from the above image, it is clear that the viral image is two years old. But, some users are sharing it with the wrong intentions of misleading people.
