Fact-Check
In the probe, DFRAC team found that the viral claim had been misleadingly shared on X. Indeed, security forces on Wednesday arrested ten over-ground workers (OGWs) of terror groups in J and K’s Kathua.
A google keyword search regarding the above viral claim led us to recently published reports from The Economic Times, Kashmir Reader, and India TV. As per reports, ten over-ground workers (OGWs) of terror groups were arrested on Wednesday, Nov 27 during a massive crackdown aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Further, the reports stated that the sweeping operation at 17 locations was jointly conducted by police and CRPF to uncover networks providing logistic and financial aid to terrorist groups. A number of electronic devices were also seized during the searches, the spokesperson said.
