Fact Check
During the investigation DFRAC found that the claim was false. The original photo features Prime Minister Modi alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. It was taken during their meeting at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. This image was first published by moneycontrol.com in a report on February 23, 2018, and has since appeared in numerous media articles over the years.
Furthermore, this photo has been published in many media reports in different years.
Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that the viral images of PM Modi with pro-Khalistan MP Jagmeet Singh is digitally edited. The original photo shows PM Modi with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Therefore, the claim of social media users is false.
