On social media, video of group of people is going viral. While sharing the video users claim that “Meanwhile in Spain Thousands of Moroccans continue to flood unabated across the border into Spain If it looks like an invasion, if it smells like an invasion, then it probably is an invasion”.
Fact Check
On investigation, DFRAC found a tweet from Rocío De Meer posted on 17 Nov 2023 with caption “They are attacking our borders and there are not enough measures to stop them. These are the doors to the homes and neighbourhoods of the Spanish people. And that is what must be protected”.
Furthermore, we also found another tweet from The National Independent posted on 18 Nov 2023 “Large group of migrants from Morocco heading towards Spanish border fence near Ceuta”.
Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that this video is indeed form Morocco but from the year 2023 and not from recent. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.
