The INDOCOM Bureau, an account on X(Twitter) operating from Pakistan shared this video on X and wrote: “A Hindu man beats a Muslim police officer in a restaurant after the officer asked him to remove his car from the road as the road was getting blocked”

News website India Today published a media report on October 20, 2018. In this report, India Today stated: “A shocking video has emerged from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh where a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councillor thrashed a police officer in uniform. The incident took place on Friday evening in the Kankarkheda area of Meerut district. In the video, BJP leader, Manish Kumar, is seen slapping a sub-inspector multiple times and hurling abuses at him. The police officer had come to the BJP leader’s restaurant with a woman lawyer. The woman was reportedly involved in an altercation with a waiter for not serving her meal on time.
Moreover, media reports from The Quint and Financial Express also cited similar facts in the context of the above viral video.
