To verify the authenticity of the viral video, the DFRAC team converted the viral video into some keyframes and reverse-searched it on Google. We found this viral video on YouTube which was uploaded 10 years back and completely unrelated to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Video shows Syria’s Airstrike
Firstly, we discovered this video on the Telegraph’s Official YouTube Channel with the title: ‘Footage emerges of Syria airstrike’ mentioning: ‘Amateur footage shows the moment a Syrian Air Force jet bombs the town of Yabroud, and the aftermath of another attack in nearby Douma’ in its bio. Moreover, the video was uploaded 10 years ago’ in its bio.
Furthermore, the video was found on another YouTube channel named ‘On Demand News’, uploaded on May 19, 2013 and the title of the video read: ‘Syrian bomber unleashes a devastating airstrike on a town’.
