Fact-Check

The DFRAC team investigated the viral video and discovered some media reports confirming it to be false.

According to a report by the Hindustan Times, another video clip is of Rajiv Gandhi Olympic Games which dates back to September 13, 2020.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot along with his advisor, Babulal Nagar, and other ministers had visited the Dudu district of Rajasthan where his advisor Babulal Nagar had told the Congress supporting public that he would only raise slogans in support of Rajiv Gandhi and Ashok Gehlot – Long live Rajiv Gandhi and Long live Ashok Gehlot before the arrival of Ashok Gehlot. Additionally, Nagar had asserted that if any person raised any other slogan then the police would put him in jail.

Conclusion

It is clear from DFRAC’s Fact-Check that the viral video comprises two different clips that have been edited into a single video. Hence, the claim of social media users is false.
