A screenshot of Aaj Tak news channel is getting viral on social media, which shows Sudarshan News Editor-in-Chief Suresh Chavhanke with a woman, and a breaking news banner stating “Suresh Chavhanke’s wife absconded with Muslim youth, Chavhanke expresses concern about love jihad.” The tickers also claim that “Sudarshan channel owner Suresh Chavhanke files FIR at Noida Police station” and “Suresh Chavhanke’s wife absconded with Muslim youth, who he was opposing against love jihad.” A user on Twitter shared this screenshot with the caption “Aaj ki taza khabar shoreish gande ki patni farar.”

Fact check:
To verify the authenticity of the viral screenshot, the DFRAC team conducted a reverse image search of the image but could not find any such screenshot. Then the team searched for some keywords related to this reference on Google but did not find any news related to it.
The team also checked Aaj Tak’s website and YouTube channel but did not find any news related to this.
The photo used in this screenshot is of Suresh Chavhanke, shared by him on Facebook in June 2020, with the caption “today is our wedding anniversary.”
